So I'm pretty sure the next big thing in the beds and sleeping accessories is latex. More than a gradual progression in the spotlight the speed in and out of memory foam fashion. On the one hand, memory foam is a bit of a design "to fail" product that decomposes after a few years of use by the open-cell foam. Secondly, it should be done with some very nasty chemicals that can take several weeks to dissipate and still end up soaking into your mattress and sheets, ultimately being absorbed through the skin. Not good. Mother nature cure for the design of humanity? Nature course. How about foam rubber latex?
The latex is great because … Well, let me rephrase, 100% natural latex is great because it is naturally anti-microbial, naturally flame retardant, and … Well, natural. It requires no chemical catalyst for latex foam, or the cure. Truly latex is cured by natural mechanical processes and environment are right to maintain consistency in the foam and let the foam almost odorless and chemical free. Latex comes in all densities and feels almost elastic. I have a 3 "pad on my pillow, mattress and experience the comfort I can not put into words, can only be experienced. Beware, however, does not fall into the retail world of disinformation and blindfold to meet some like to pull over the eyes of potential consumers. The fact that a company uses the term "Talalay" latex not mean it is 100% natural. Talalay is a process, not a type foam. Please note that the shopping and not be afraid to ask questions about this process and what it means.
The only problem is the expensive nature latex beds. Toppers to work quite well, but they are really looking to go The Whole Nine Yards, end up spending lots of money to do so. A good alternative? How about a DIY latex bed can be purchased online? Essentially, you will be capable of a tool-kit "that allows you to stack several Latex Toppers (100% natural latex manufactured using the Talalay process) and place in a zippered mattress to make your own. Best part is they are inexpensive and sleep as good or better than synthetic latex mattress that could end up paying thousands.
Another great thing about this bed DIY is that you do not have to worry about all the chemicals that enter the new federal fire-retardant standards. Since this new regulation success this past July, the companies have had to spend a lot … I mean a lot of money to get all their beds tried to pass the new regulation. As consumers, of course, that the additional cost is reflected in the price we pay shop. Therefore, we are not only having to pay more for a bed, we'll have all the nasty chemicals in the skin absorbs all night. With a DIY latex bed, the Toppers are naturally flame retardant, the bulkhead deck is 100% cotton or bamboo (both free of chemicals), and you pay a fraction of what is normally paid for comparable latex bed. A lot think … but it's just my $ .02.
