My wife and I are considering buying a king bed Tempurpedic California. I heard good and bad to think them. I need some extra support for my lower back, left hip and leg. I have a pinched nerve. Are they worth the price or other beds have memory foam as good?

I read the reviews on mattresses and pillows tempurpedic and the only complaint (but very important) I find is that they wear out too quickly (pillows, after about a year and a mattress after about 3) But it makes no sense to me because it is the memory foam mattress and especially why they issue a 20-year warranty on something they know to wear out after only few years?
